I'm not going to go into detail about what has happened but things seem to be much calmer in my life now (*touches wood*) and so I can finally get back into one of the big passions in my life-blogging.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My blogging break has made me think about the direction I want to take my blog in, I have felt a little lost with it over the last couple of months. I realised that I love writing about beauty so I am going to try and include more product reviews and beauty posts aswell as trying to incorporate lifestyle posts into my blog.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In terms of blog series, I am going to kick-start my Healthy Living Diaries series again aswell as a few others I have up my sleeve.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Taking a break from blogging was great for me because it has made me appreciate how much I love my blog and how much I want it to do well. It has also given me time to think of lots of new ideas for the blog which is something I really needed.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I hope you continue to enjoy reading A Little Gem....</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Yay its monthly favourites time again! I'm not completely sure why this makes me so happy, possibly because I've been using makeup a bit differently recently (i.e. minimalist) and have rediscovered my love for some great products. Anyway, lets crack on....</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbdQdsOF3y-PCIDXZQw0yGJRhEbeScSk-ft65o8VDVtL3O0CLlpF0TraR-RSMOLWjmhWeHOYL_-NTRW6R-SZzEf8n4VH4F8lNdoQKe1_Ag0F4G7zIS6qXGyOvAGGhtQ-aZKaEKGMRMMfM/s1600/june+faves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbdQdsOF3y-PCIDXZQw0yGJRhEbeScSk-ft65o8VDVtL3O0CLlpF0TraR-RSMOLWjmhWeHOYL_-NTRW6R-SZzEf8n4VH4F8lNdoQKe1_Ag0F4G7zIS6qXGyOvAGGhtQ-aZKaEKGMRMMfM/s1600/june+faves.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Nina Perfume</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This perfume is my ultimate summer scent. I am the worst person at describing scents so I won't embarrass myself or bore you by trying to, but its a lovely fresh scent that I use year after year. I have almost ran out of this bottle so I may have to make a little trip to Boots. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Grapefruit and Greenberry</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I love the Barry M Gelly nail paints as they are super shiny and are long lasting compared to other gel-like formulas. I have a few in my collection but this month I have been loving these two shades. I have been wearing Greenberry (a bright, mint shade) on my toe nails as it looks lovely with a bit of a tan and some sandals; and then I have been wearing Grapefruit (a bright, candy pink shade) on my finger nails. Both shades look great with a tan and are just perfect for the summer. P.S. keep an eye out for my Top 5 Summer Bright Nails coming soon.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Benefit Coralista Blush</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I think I may have mentioned this in a previous favourites, but I have been loving it this month. Its only a sample size (yes I'm too stingy to buy the full size) but it has been lasting me ages. Its a beautiful peachy rose gold shade which looks perfect in the summer as it also doubles up as a highlighter so catches the sun on your cheek bones.</span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwSy1HcIe2QMUMbEvyaDKgxZi-aDPhTW1HDRB40hhcUxVzL1ejqAL2SnQMgj_G1qRd1Ay6yicuh7DrLD_60vPcR57xPjR2Sh6dxGz4ll9IHo6m6OhPOeelSltxoo7vW07RflR9rQaHu5g/s1600/june+faves+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwSy1HcIe2QMUMbEvyaDKgxZi-aDPhTW1HDRB40hhcUxVzL1ejqAL2SnQMgj_G1qRd1Ay6yicuh7DrLD_60vPcR57xPjR2Sh6dxGz4ll9IHo6m6OhPOeelSltxoo7vW07RflR9rQaHu5g/s1600/june+faves+1.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Lotion</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I burnt a few weeks ago so my skin has been craving some moisture and this has definitely ticked that box. It smells of chocolate (funnily enough) and is just ultra creamy and smooth, and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky or greasy. It has been a dream to use and has been very kind to my sun-exposed skin (naughty, I know).</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is a bit of an old favourite but I have rediscovered it this month. During the warmer months in the daytime I don't like to wear a foundation as I find it too hot on the skin, so I have been using this beauty just to conceal any areas that need it. I have also been using it on my cheekbones and down the centre of my nose as, due to the light reflecting particles, it can work as a subtle highlight well.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZwEbTrz9BaFrGRi2FN0WgW25d2AW3hXIjv483_Iewv-VK6u2WsCziOQZWH0uedjYmc5-oa5bFlrCRYe73eN7EFrCQxrXGcrFEvZAEDQpn9K3FMXRlZe9N2LNe9XTRBZleCDRJYCdvOLg/s1600/junes+faves+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZwEbTrz9BaFrGRi2FN0WgW25d2AW3hXIjv483_Iewv-VK6u2WsCziOQZWH0uedjYmc5-oa5bFlrCRYe73eN7EFrCQxrXGcrFEvZAEDQpn9K3FMXRlZe9N2LNe9XTRBZleCDRJYCdvOLg/s1600/junes+faves+4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>L'Oreal Ever Riche Perfect Elixir</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is something I have had for ages but I've only just started using it. It did the blog and YouTube rounds quite a few months ago. It is effectively a spray on hair mask that you spray onto wet hair after conditioning, leave for 5 minutes or so, and then wash off. It leaves your hair feeling so soft, much more than any other hair mask I have used. Also, because it is a spray form, it doesn't weigh the hair down at all. I'll be popping a review up soon.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2o_C-Vg9BmofMh1iLy3JtGy4bj0LYJ2ZMXbwcV0KkUeX-kxF5ZMZo-WZPadm7SZklziXqJnjNqbxwm1xsLcmzrzfVLZhrBmqrmE7XO413HGTIysvx7XWDhwYsFBFI9IMzwDKsCglQ8Sw/s1600/junes+faves+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2o_C-Vg9BmofMh1iLy3JtGy4bj0LYJ2ZMXbwcV0KkUeX-kxF5ZMZo-WZPadm7SZklziXqJnjNqbxwm1xsLcmzrzfVLZhrBmqrmE7XO413HGTIysvx7XWDhwYsFBFI9IMzwDKsCglQ8Sw/s1600/junes+faves+3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Topshop Magic Liner</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is my first Topshop makeup product and I'm in love. It is just a felt-tip style eye liner but its just brilliant. The nib is the perfect size, it doesn't dry up whilst your using it like some liners, and it lasts for ages without any smudging. What more can you ask for? And its super cheap! I am definitely going to try more of Topshop makeup so leave any recommendations below.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong> </strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A Micellar water is a staple in my cleansing routine and I have tried a few recently but this is definitely the best. The bottle (I have had troubles with the packaging of some Micellar waters) is great because it allows you to not put too much of the product onto the cotton wool, it removes all makeup easily and leaves the skin feeling fresh and clean. A winner for me!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there we have it, a few gems that I have found and rediscovered this month!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">What have been your monthly favourites?</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now that Summer has arrived, for most, this means that holidays are drawing closer. Unfortunately I'm not going abroad this year but I am planning on a couple of short breaks so I thought I would show you what I plan on taking and why...</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZxxDyAck1G1wxtFYSuEiBJfcLYu15PydNVZQ3LliI7mWQryDdc05Giic_Yu2cKe_Pkc52QaN73qxIzJbahoWdFDaGj8QCTTnL72VkK0YmkwPzjQHejPk0OuOfYCXdhcvbFk6tZKCCOg/s1600/travel+makeup+base.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZxxDyAck1G1wxtFYSuEiBJfcLYu15PydNVZQ3LliI7mWQryDdc05Giic_Yu2cKe_Pkc52QaN73qxIzJbahoWdFDaGj8QCTTnL72VkK0YmkwPzjQHejPk0OuOfYCXdhcvbFk6tZKCCOg/s1600/travel+makeup+base.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Base</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My skin gets very oily at this time of year and doesn't cope well with heavy-coverage foundation so I will be opting to take the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. I love this stuff because its lightweight and super easy to work with, plus it actually does some good for your skin. Also I wear this both day and night so is a great, versatile foundation.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For concealer I want something that is compact yet can cover both spots, blemishes and under the eyes. The Seventeen Phwoarr Paint is a favourite of mine as it is quite heavy duty so, if you want a day without foundation, then you can just use this on the areas that need a little touch up. Its very compact and easy to blend.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm not overly fussy on powder, it was between the Rimmel Stay Matte or the Rimmel Clear Complexion. The only reason I chose the Clear Complexion is because it is translucent whereas my Stay Matte is the shade Peach Glow. For me, powder is a necessity in the summer to hide the unwanted shine that my oily skin gives. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOzXIrMtht4IdaRgqZq_3kdrs4cm83p8mJGUi95C0Jy66vGDpP_oTSnjtLLAaTbQ9Qf3Ul80a0rU2vzHVEJqhzW4BRSASFk9VdrDy7GeXwpi-EkKmyTi8JS9f7ru2J7Il3cbH3URaAGwA/s1600/travel+makeup+eyes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOzXIrMtht4IdaRgqZq_3kdrs4cm83p8mJGUi95C0Jy66vGDpP_oTSnjtLLAaTbQ9Qf3Ul80a0rU2vzHVEJqhzW4BRSASFk9VdrDy7GeXwpi-EkKmyTi8JS9f7ru2J7Il3cbH3URaAGwA/s1600/travel+makeup+eyes.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Eyes</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So for this I think I have 3 options. The first is a large palette that has a number of different shades so I can create many different looks. My favourite from my collection has to be the MUA Undressed palette. It has a great selection of neutral shades, both warm and cool toned to create a number of different looks.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My second option would be a smaller palette consisting of 3 or four shades such as this L'Oreal Smoky Eye palette. These smaller palettes are good because, obviously, they are much more compact and if you pick the right one then you can still create a few different looks. I try to opt for more neutral based palettes as they will go with most looks.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Finally, individual eye shadows that are long lasting in this heat, such as the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's. These are great because they literally don't budge once they are on the eye. They are a bit clumpy but I could just take a couple that I could either wear together or individually.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Blush</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For blush I like to have a couple of options. The Coralista blush by Benefit is great because it can double as a highlighter which is perfect for a summery make up look. Its also very well pigmented and I have it in a sample size making it super compact!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I also picked this NYX blush as it is small and compact compared to other blush's in my collection, but also the colour pay off is great and the shade is different to coralista so I can create a totally different look.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRGbuvVqVDefC6yggEDgLW_RzoZbRaGVR4jGCbROn_1C4WH-R72Td-yRnMHqnfrpUgi5FFW8bWxZ1JCBLbaajmU_gwHEpJSFZVXVpIKEWUZ4SDMC_pM4kL5eqLzs9TNXgpc4WMF2VRDBA/s1600/travel+makeup+lips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRGbuvVqVDefC6yggEDgLW_RzoZbRaGVR4jGCbROn_1C4WH-R72Td-yRnMHqnfrpUgi5FFW8bWxZ1JCBLbaajmU_gwHEpJSFZVXVpIKEWUZ4SDMC_pM4kL5eqLzs9TNXgpc4WMF2VRDBA/s1600/travel+makeup+lips.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Lips</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Lips is quite hard as a lot of lip products are pretty compact anyway. I haven't included a lipstick as I find in the heat lipsticks are hard to work with as they can melt and misshapen. Also, my lips can get quite dry in the heat so hence why I have opted for a tinted lip balm to keep my lips hydrated.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To jazz up my makeup look a little I have also included a gloss. This is a teeny tiny gloss I got as part of a set from primark and it is perfect for travelling due to its size.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_RhjULltWsEDZlPtm_7PxoxBY2ePt8xA5fwYbvyRTtr8p5GSCjxpH_Qx3qO7kj8aNpudMfMShEchkw-Qgz9QSusrYbCFnPIP8sXgWqKCe1ebDEai3iHiT_zRD-pYoEkTCBZe98fBwmlc/s1600/travel+makeup+samples.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_RhjULltWsEDZlPtm_7PxoxBY2ePt8xA5fwYbvyRTtr8p5GSCjxpH_Qx3qO7kj8aNpudMfMShEchkw-Qgz9QSusrYbCFnPIP8sXgWqKCe1ebDEai3iHiT_zRD-pYoEkTCBZe98fBwmlc/s1600/travel+makeup+samples.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Samples</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Samples are a great thing to have to take away as they can be great, versatile products but are super compact so perfect to slip into your makeup bag. I have 3 samples from Benefit which I love. The first is the Coralista blush which I have mentioned above. I got this in a set along with my second Benefit sample-Sun Beam. Sun Beam is the perfect summer product as it creates a gorgeous sun-kissed effect on the skin. Plus, it can be easily blended using fingers so no need to take an extra brush. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The final Benefit sample size I have is the They're Real mascara. I bought this from Boots </span>as its, obviously, much cheaper than the full size and as you should only use mascara for 3 months it really isn't worth me spending lots of money on a full size. This is a great mascara as it lengthens and gives amazing volume.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there we have it, my travelling makeup kit! I'm surprised I managed to narrow it down as I am one of those 'over-packers'.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Do you have any of these products? What do you plan on taking on your hols with you?</span></div>

A month or so ago, I had big plans for me career wise, I had financial ambitions and I had tons and tons of ideas for my blog. But over the last couple of weeks or so, I've found myself slipping back into my old ways of being lazy and I seem to have lost my 'get up and go'. This annoys me so much because I still want everything that I did before, I just cant seem to find the motivation to get all these things done. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I don't really want to talk about my work life on here as I need to remain professional, but I thought I would just discuss how this is affecting my blog at the present. I had recently been trying to post daily as I saw a huge improvement to my blog traffic, however although I have lots and lots of ideas for blog posts, and most of the photos have been taken and edited, I am really struggling to sit down and actually write up a post. Whether it be my monthly favourites, a new series I want to post or just a simple product review, I am seriously struggling to do so.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I know that everyone has times where we struggle to get things done but for me this is starting to have an emotional impact on me as its getting me down because I love my blog and I want it to be the best I can make it. But at the moment I feel I'm being my own worst enemy as the only person holding me back right now is me.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm not too sure where this post is going but I just needed to sit and write exactly how I'm feeling at the moment. I cant quite explain why because I don't know, but I'm hoping to pick myself up again soon and start to get back into blogging and get my motivation for my other goals in life back again. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Sorry if this has been a bit random and a bit all over the shop but hopefully some of you reading (if anyone actually does) will understand how I'm feeling right now.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Thanks for anyone that reads my little corner of the web, it honestly means the world to me xx</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-5738715813762100202014-06-28T09:30:00.000+01:002014-06-28T09:30:00.893+01:00The Blogger Made Me Buy It- DIZZYBRUNETTE3<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">DizzyBrunette3, or Corrie, was actually the first YouTube channel I discovered as I was already a follower of her blog. With such a bubbly personality and a huge love for makeup its hard not to be influenced with what she has to say. Also, she says she has oily skin which I also have so I have always been keen to see what she has to say about skincare.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Corrie has included this in her Get Ready With Me videos ever since I started watching her. She uses it as a primer before makeup, and as someone who suffers from visible pores and just a general fan of The Body Shop, I was super keen to try this out. I really like this product in general, not just as a primer. Tea Tree Oil is great for greasy skin anyway so I knew it would help with that aspect of my skin and, whenever I use this, I notice a difference in the visibility of my pores as they seem much smaller and almost hidden which is great. Who wants huge pores hey?!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Corrie is probably known for her quest for glowy, dewy skin and a love for highlighting products. When she started featuring this in her videos both as a highlighter and a primer I wanted to give it a go. Plus its super cheap which is an added bonus. I started using it as a highlighter which I love as its really easy to blend and doesn't look too shiny or bright on the skin. I have used it a few times as a primer but I don't think it works aswell for that, I prefer my Lush Skin tint for that, but as a highlighter this is a great little product!</span></div>

As a makeup and general beauty product lover, there are gonna be products out there that I don't get on with or aren't suited for me or I just simply don't like. So I thought I would show you some of the products I have found disappointing in recent months.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5HyVo3v1b7ce1urdaHtq_wVZMSXAGg_23ukWmMsCDe4br8GsQ37ri6GjupUzBHc7A4xciEW7H8cLwbrtsRQGWFc4T2e4x0jciOPO6KoSGMYjXHd1yw4PGlXUPwzA2K5K_Wz5oqsbsKfY/s1600/disappointing+product.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5HyVo3v1b7ce1urdaHtq_wVZMSXAGg_23ukWmMsCDe4br8GsQ37ri6GjupUzBHc7A4xciEW7H8cLwbrtsRQGWFc4T2e4x0jciOPO6KoSGMYjXHd1yw4PGlXUPwzA2K5K_Wz5oqsbsKfY/s1600/disappointing+product.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5FGaV8HURWIqVEhdUwaYFyI7SuJmgrVDD2r28jg9953mtc6E7jTDzn_4pFZyjcsOVLM50bKo7JBT_msn84gp5iXUCux7VRF_EukvMRfOvd7gGpuxUtKL0fG9gM2m6EGkRSF_hD3juE8k/s1600/disappointing+products+barry+m.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5FGaV8HURWIqVEhdUwaYFyI7SuJmgrVDD2r28jg9953mtc6E7jTDzn_4pFZyjcsOVLM50bKo7JBT_msn84gp5iXUCux7VRF_EukvMRfOvd7gGpuxUtKL0fG9gM2m6EGkRSF_hD3juE8k/s1600/disappointing+products+barry+m.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Barry M Pallettes</strong> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In hindsight I think I should have known that these wouldn't live up to their hype. However I was so disappointed when they were nowhere near as great as everyone thought. They contain 6 eye shadows of different shades and finishes, and then a blush. The eye shadows had very little pigmentation and the blush was too light for my liking, however I did use it for a highlighter.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXUnozUwFwhdFycUF6GxnKXUL8EDEfxS2thrq54yT4crvCX8pD9mEIGc_orWs5NBpl_A2yXxGLmHXcOM0omQCpGGg_OPqfiJ2aEhK7PPnO_NlxhAUVuagGNzdieI2XNiUgXD2_ANU3KIE/s1600/disappointing+products+sleek+rimmel+revlon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXUnozUwFwhdFycUF6GxnKXUL8EDEfxS2thrq54yT4crvCX8pD9mEIGc_orWs5NBpl_A2yXxGLmHXcOM0omQCpGGg_OPqfiJ2aEhK7PPnO_NlxhAUVuagGNzdieI2XNiUgXD2_ANU3KIE/s1600/disappointing+products+sleek+rimmel+revlon.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Rimmel BB Cream</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This wasn't neccesarily an overall disappointing product, it just wasn't suited to me. I have oily skin and when I tried to apply this I found it slipped around the skin. I bought this with the thought of wearing it during the hot weather, but that is when my skin is at its oiliest and this just ran around my face and was really difficult to blend. However I think this would work great on someone with drier skin. I might give their matte BB cream ago.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When I swatched this in store, at first it looked great: very pigmented and a lovely matte finish. However, half an hour after purchasing and after leaving the store, the swatch became very dry and almost like paint on my hand. I decided to give it a go on a night out, although I was very apprehensive. The colour looked lovely however I noticed, after about half an hour the colour really dried my lips out and it was like having a layer of paint over my lips. Then, after a few drinks it created the dreaded 'liner' effect where the colour just stuck to the edge of my lips. It looked pretty awful to say the least. I won't be trying anything else from this range, even though I am a huge fan of other Sleek product, this one just didn't work for me.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3qWblSLCOX11NGiRYzR5he4KSDbfsVQdoGzCvtK1a5xtY64rmvYu2J4UosW5JuaUjOZySsnwKJO0QQ_Xdh2KMw1NIPl1NRs_MxK8SFUwF3tSg7RvOcse6tcJxxwybPEsUSOLIDsDppg8/s1600/disappointing+products+loreal+rimmel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3qWblSLCOX11NGiRYzR5he4KSDbfsVQdoGzCvtK1a5xtY64rmvYu2J4UosW5JuaUjOZySsnwKJO0QQ_Xdh2KMw1NIPl1NRs_MxK8SFUwF3tSg7RvOcse6tcJxxwybPEsUSOLIDsDppg8/s1600/disappointing+products+loreal+rimmel.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Revlon Shadowlinks</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I love the idea of these, literally creating a palette than you can continue to add to. In the range there is a lovely selection of shades and finishes, something to suit everyone I think. However the shades that I picked have no pigmentation whatsoever. I tried different eye shadow brushes and my fingers to try and get some colour onto my lids, but this product has no colour pay off at all. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I had high hopes for this product as it had been dubbed a duplicate of the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover. Firstly, the packaging is pretty bad, its so hard to control how much of the product you put onto a cotton wool pad due to the shape of the bottle. The product itself is very greasy and leaves an oily film over the eye, despite claiming to do the opposite. Such a let down. I have done a full review which you can see <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/loreal-absolute-makeup-remover-eye-lip.html" target="_blank">here</a>. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now, I love the Apocalips range and so I was pretty excited to try the nude shade in their range however it just didn't live up to its reputation. The shade completely washed out my lips but coated them so heavily it was hard to apply anything under or over the laquer. I have tried making the look work but it literally looks like I have applied foundation or concealer all over my lips. Not a great look. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I love reading posts like this, they're a proper nosy look into what people use and carry around with them on a day to day basis. I recently bought a new bag so I thought this would be the perfect time to show you exactly what I carry around with me in my bag.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Tesco Handbag</strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I recently bought this new bag after months of searching for one. I had in my mind what I wanted-spacious, comfortable to hold and a neutral shade. This beauty was in Tesco for just £16! The strap is long enough to carry on your shoulder comfortably and the bag itself is big enough to carry anything you want pretty much. This would also be perfect for a hand luggage bag. Inside there is the main section of the bag and then a zipped pocket on one side (this is where my phone lives) and another loose pocket on the other side.</span></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6vCweq1fcwyhO-hvpMOI2gF2mm46kuzhwi6NHw7t4aZY8pgUQhCKyInD5adGY6ibPMo7OAE2rm2F_jAfa-2DIhS4TOvs-SetJpttrM7RX_iqO_f87FbsC0K3GshZux-TCVpR0eq16rsc/s1600/empties.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6vCweq1fcwyhO-hvpMOI2gF2mm46kuzhwi6NHw7t4aZY8pgUQhCKyInD5adGY6ibPMo7OAE2rm2F_jAfa-2DIhS4TOvs-SetJpttrM7RX_iqO_f87FbsC0K3GshZux-TCVpR0eq16rsc/s1600/empties.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Not too many empties in this post but, considering my last Empties post was only last <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/empties-4.html" target="_blank">month </a>its a bit worrying I'm getting through so many products. Oops. So lets get started...</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I love Sanctuary Spa as the scent is so luxurious and different to anything else I use. This scrub has lasted me ages so I can't complain that I'm out of it already, however I do have a second bottle waiting in my stores to be used. This is a lovely exfoliator which also lathers up well in the shower. The scent is the signature Sanctuary Spa scent and, for some, this could be a bit overpowering but I love it. A product I will always repurchase.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I really like using Micellar Waters to remove my makeup and although I like this one, the packaging has put me right off. The bottle is quite big which is good as you get a lot for your money however the way the lid has been designed means that it is hard to control the amount of solution you pour onto the cotton wool pad, often meaning that you end up with too much of the product. I do have another of these waiting to be used as they were on Buy One Get One Free (would be rude not too hey?!) however I think in future I will stick to a different brand.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Nivea Happy Time Deodorant</strong></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ok so a bit random to include a deodorant as, obviously, these can be used up quite quickly, especially in the warmer months, but the scent of this one is amazing. I don't know why but I don't like most of the female deodorants smells however this one is very summery and fruity and the scent really hangs about. As a deodorant it does as good a job as any but I thought I would include it in this because I have really enjoyed using it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm so sad this product has been used up, it has to be one of my favourite foundations. I actually included it in my <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/may-favourites.html" target="_blank">last monthly favourites</a>. The foundation is light to medium coverage but the consistency is thin and light on the skin and super easy to blend and work with. I will definitely be repurchasing this one.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Toner</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is a staple product in my skin care routine. I love Simple products and they seem to work really well with my skin (*touches wood*) so I always end up repurchasing the products as I know how well they work for my skin.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Simple Kind To Skin Eye Makeup Remover</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is another lovely Simple product to use. It is very gentle on the eyes and, unlike many eye make up removers, isn't oily. I use this more on a daily basis and save the oily removers for heavier make up as this is much more gentle on the eyes. I also don't need to rub the cotton wool on my eyes with this which is obviously a bonus. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Butter</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I think my heart broke a little when I used the last of this. Ok, so slightly over dramatic but you get the effect I'm going for. This body butter smells amazing, has the creamiest consistency ever and absorbs pretty quickly. For a fairly cheap product this very much has a high end feel to it which I love. I wish I had bought a few of these as I don't think they stock them anymore but on my next trip into town I will definitely be looking for a replacement!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Have you liked/disliked any of these products? I would love to know!</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-29312068598735403492014-06-17T11:44:00.002+01:002014-06-17T11:44:40.006+01:00The Lip Product Addict Tag<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So this tag has been floating around the YouTube/Blogging world for a few weeks now ever since <a href="http://www.essiebutton.com/" target="_blank">Essiebutton</a> and <a href="http://amelialiana.com/" target="_blank">Amelialiana</a> first created it (see their <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DBlZHz6xPw" target="_blank">video here</a>). I have seen a few different takes on it and have taken some of the different questions to create this post. So I hope you enjoy!</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Best Balm/Treatment...</strong></span><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So I have picked both a lip treatment and a balm for this. The Popcorn Lip Scrub from Lush was my savior through the colder months when my lips became dry and chapped. I just take a small amount of the product to my finger and gently rub onto my lips and then just lick away any remaining product from my lips, and when I'm finished I have baby soft lips. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My favourite balm was quite a tricky choice as I have quite a few that I enjoy using but I love the Baby Lips range as they are ultra soothing and leave my lips in lovely condition. I have 5 Baby Lips now but the Intense Care (yellow) and Cherry Me (orange) are my two favourites from the range. Intense Care is a colourless balm which is great for prepping the lips for lipstick or just to give them an ultra boost of hydration. Cherry Me is a red-tinted balm which is great to spruce up a simple daytime look.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6HBEL8_r08L-rM0bRorRzA0tUQl_0i5tuu_r7ljDB-CcBQQFk3l9drkT6RIa3ZZ4eTHDJMCU_w0kO8Z8bDSqv3LmaOCxz-HT0upM9v2cBdNjRjhHM2xLT9b7KHYoMIufwWyBTMiI0nF4/s1600/lip+product+tag+red+swatches.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6HBEL8_r08L-rM0bRorRzA0tUQl_0i5tuu_r7ljDB-CcBQQFk3l9drkT6RIa3ZZ4eTHDJMCU_w0kO8Z8bDSqv3LmaOCxz-HT0upM9v2cBdNjRjhHM2xLT9b7KHYoMIufwWyBTMiI0nF4/s1600/lip+product+tag+red+swatches.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Best eye catching red...</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So I know both of these are liquid form but their finishes are very different. Spicy by Nyx is part of their Xtreme Lip Cream collection and, as you can tell by the swatch, is a bright bold red and has a matte finish to it. What I love about this is that it lasts an absolute age on the lips and doesn't budge, even when food and drink are involved.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Big Bang by Rimmel is part of their Apocalips range which is one of my favourite lip product range anyway (see my post <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/product-review-rimmel-apocalips.html" target="_blank">here</a>). It has a very glossy finish and is a gorgeous post-box red that glams up any look.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Best Pink...</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was quite tricky as pink seems to be my go-to lip shade but I managed to narrow it down to these two. Out Of This World is an Apocalips, again I know(!), and is a very shimmery, dusky pink which has a glossy finish to it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">16 is part of the Rimmel Kate Moss range and is a much more 'Barbie' pink and, although it has a matte finish, it has a lovely creamy consistency and is an absolute dream to apply. See my full review <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/rimmel-kate-moss-lipstick-16.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Best Nude...</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A nude lip product is probably the most staple part of one's makeup collection. I don't actually have that many but these are two of my favourite lip products anyway so they fit this category perfectly. Beehive is a glossy nude (very glossy!!) and is one of my favourite lipsticks. I bought this after reading a review on LLYMLRS ETC, you can see my post on this lipstick <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/the-blogger-made-me-buy-it-llymlrs.html" target="_blank">here</a> as part of my <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/The%20Blogger%20Made%20Me%20Buy%20It" target="_blank">The Blogger Made Me Buy It</a> series. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Rose Petal was a bit of a random purchase as I was in quick need of a lipstick and due to the cheap price tag I thought I couldn't go wrong. I really like this lipstick, although it can be a bit chalky and drying, the shade and finish is great. It is much more matte than Beehive and the shade is a bit brighter but I love it.</span> <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg155WSTDU1v6jw6VTFvGtNFLYbj8Cvh8RbreqzxajLec7MlmWmYwJE5eZU8G13FTNZWxu_S8p2n0qe8mcMp3ZN0Sidht7iMfzOVXhJGRszB4cpMGMb2p_x9CQdKensIjgCRgHgSveUNBs/s1600/lip+product+tag+gloss+swatches.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg155WSTDU1v6jw6VTFvGtNFLYbj8Cvh8RbreqzxajLec7MlmWmYwJE5eZU8G13FTNZWxu_S8p2n0qe8mcMp3ZN0Sidht7iMfzOVXhJGRszB4cpMGMb2p_x9CQdKensIjgCRgHgSveUNBs/s1600/lip+product+tag+gloss+swatches.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Fave gloss...</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ths was such a hard one! I love lip gloss and wear it almost all of the time, and I have quite a few in my stash. I decided on these three even though they are very similar. The Nyx Butter Gloss is my newest addition to my gloss collection and I love it. Its a candy-pink shade and the formula isn't too stiky which is good. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Picnic In The Park is part of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics range and is a gloss I have been after ever since its release. I could have picked up all of the other shades in this collection as they are all lovely but this is probably the most wearable out of the whole collection. Its, again, a pretty pink shade which is great on its own due to its high pigmentation, or over the top of a lipstick. Plus it smells of strawberries which is gorgeous!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This Maybelline Coloursensational gloss is the one I reach for the most and I keep it in my handbag for everyday use as the shade is just beautiful. I would say it is more of a peachy shade but it is quite subtle which is why I like it for every day use. The formula isn't too stick either which is another plus.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Liner-yes or no?</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Definitely no. I do have lip liners and I have been known to wear them on the odd occasion but, in general, they aren't for me and just add another stage to the application process.</span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Best Autumn/Winter...</strong></span><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span></strong><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was a very easy decision as they are two of my favoure lip products anyway. I think every beauty blogger and their dog has the Kate Moss 107 lipstick (see my post on it <a href="http://alittlegemm.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/product-review-2-new-rimmel-lipsticks.html" target="_blank">here</a>) and it really is a gorgeous shade. I think you can wear this shade all year round but especially in the colder, darker months. It has a matte finish and is a deep plum-red shade.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Plum Russian is part of the Bourjois Colour Boost range and is a beautiful plum shade which has a lovely glossy finish.The pigmentation isn't great but the fnish and formula make up for that. It is also super moisturising which is perfect for the colder months when lips have a tendency to be much drier.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Something Else...</strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I knew I wanted to include the Revlon Lip Butters in this post but I wasn't really sure where. They are super, super moisturising and the pigmentation and colour pay off is incredible! I honestly don't know what there is to not like about them. I have the shades Tutti Frutti and Candy Apple which, as you can see, are quite bright shades but there are more subtle shades in the collection so I might add another couple to my stash. </span><br />

<br />
<br />
As a beauty blogger I have my favourite blogs that I love to follow and keep up to date on their posts, however more and more beauty bloggers are turning to YouTube to create even more content for their readers. I am subscribed to quite a few beauty vloggers on YouTube and I love nothing more than settling down with a drink and my IPad to catch up on my favourite channels. So I thought I would show you my top 5 YouTube channels...<br />
<br />
1) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/ViviannaDoesMakeup" target="_blank">Vivianna Does Makeup</a><br />
I love Anna's blog and her YouTube channel is just as brilliant. With a good selection of hauls, reviews, tutorials, and, of course, her weekly vlogs, Anna makes for some great viewing. Also, she uploads 3 times a week which is great for an avid YouTube fan like myself. Anna has a great on-screen charisma and isn't afraid to make fun of herself and gets others in her life involved such as her boyfriend and family in Brighton (I'm not a stalker I promise, I've just been a regular viewer of the weekly blog). <br />
<br />
2) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/dizzybrunette3" target="_blank">DizzyBrunette3</a><br />
Corrie was actually the first YouTube channel I discovered and, therefore, I have always enjoyed her videos. She does a great range of hauls, tags and monthly favourites with the odd vlog thrown in to the mix. I think Corrie has a lovely bubbly personality which really comes across on camera, and also a lot of the products she mentions are drugstore-great for girls like me on a budget!<br />
<br />
3) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/zoella280390" target="_blank">Zoella</a><br />
How can I write a YouTube post without mentioning the Queen of YouTube herself?! If you haven't heard of Zoella (aka Zoe Sugg) then where the ruddy hell have you been hiding?! Zoe has over 4 million subscribers and a pretty huge fan base who all go along to support her at different YouTube and social media events around the world. Zoe has such a likeable character on camera and is really easy and enjoyable to watch. She has a much wider range of videos, including lots of collaborations with other YouTubers.<br />
<br />
4) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/FleurDeForce" target="_blank">Fleur DeForce</a><br />
Fleur is another beauty YouTuber that I really enjoy watching, I think she has great charisma and talks quite eloquently on camera, however is still able to poke some fun at herself. She always has a great range of products mentioned in her videos (even if most of them are high end) and she gives a great review of most products mentioned. <br />
<br />
5) <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/velvetgh0st" target="_blank">Velvet Ghost</a><br />
Velvet Ghost is a channel I have only recently discovered but I think Gabby is great and her videos are brilliant. She's so funny and every time I sit down to watch her videos I know I'm going to be laughing throughout. Gabby also has a second channel where she posts vlogs and lifestyle videos. Gabby does some great tutorials on her main channel, I have been loving watching her Maleficent-inspired tutorials especially. <br />
<br />
So those are my top 5 YouTube channels however I have others that I wish I could have included:<br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/inthefrow" target="_blank">InTheFrow</a><br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/etcllymlrs" target="_blank">LLYMLRS</a><br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/pixi2woo" target="_blank">Tanya Burr</a><br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/Sprinkleofglitter" target="_blank">Sprinkle of Glitter</a><br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/WhatIHeartToday" target="_blank">Lily Pebbles</a><br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/Tesschristine123" target="_blank">Tess Christine</a><br />
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/katiefawcettxo" target="_blank">Sugarfixx</a><br />
<br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ah I have so much love for Seventeen at the moment, every product I try impresses me. I love a brand that is consistent with all the quality of their products, especially when the price is so reasonable. I have always liked Seventeen's bronzing range, even before their rebranding last year. </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This Shimmer Brick is a new addition to the range and I picked it up as soon as I saw it on the shelves in my local Boots. The 'brick' has 4 shades ranging from a light pink highlight shade to a bronze shade. The idea is to sweep the product over the cheekbones to create a bronze glow-perfect for the summer hey!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have been using my buffing brush, my powder brush and my blush brush with this product as I cant decide which brush I prefer to use with the product. The first thing I will say about this product is it is very 'glowy' and pigmented, and can quickly turn into an uber shine fest on your face, not sure that's the look I want to go for?! However after a bit of practice I've found a couple of techniques that help my make the most of the product and create different glowy looks. With the buffing brush, I have been using the lighter shades just to lightly highlight the cheekbones, keeping things quite subtle so that it is a wearable daytime look. I have used my powder and blush brush to create a more bronzed, less defined look over the cheeks, by using the whole brick and just very lightly dusting the product over the cheek bones and up towards the hair line. I wouldn't advise to use this product as a bronzer due to it being very shimmery and could give you the whole 'disco ball' look that I don't think anyone wants.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Overall though a great product and unlike any I have seen from other brands. I would advise to go very gently at first and decide what level of bronze/shimmer/glow you are going for but once you get it right I'm sure you will love it. A perfect summer product!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Has anyone else tried this product? I would love to know your thoughts!</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-3685533053542051012014-06-07T09:30:00.000+01:002014-06-07T09:30:01.847+01:00Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in Sundown<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I received this lipstick in a Glossy Box <em>ages</em> ago and, to be perfectly honest, I had never heard of the brand Gosh. On first look, I really like the packaging and the colour of the bullet is very striking. The packaging is black with orange swirls on the lid (I don't know if this is shade specific or a generic colour scheme but I like). The lipstick itself is a muted orange shade with hints of shimmer. I decided that I probably wouldn't use this lipstick until the summer months due to the bright shade so hence why I have put off reviewing it until now.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I swatched the lipstick for the image above and, to be frank, I was expecting a much bolder swatch rather than the washed out product that appeared on my hand. However, I ploughed on and decided to wear the lipstick on a night out. Unfortunately, on the lips this lipstick is even more muted and is more like a lick of colour rather than a striking colour like the bullet seems to suggest. I do like this lipstick as the consistency is lovely and creamy and the product doesn't dry the lips out at all, I'm just disappointed with the colour pay off. Another thing I do like about this product is the shimmer effect it leaves, I think this looks lovely with simple, dewy makeup as it adds to the golden glow that so many of us stride to achieve in these warmer months.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So, lovely packaging and consistency, just not enough colour pay off as I would have hoped for. I'm not sure what these lipsticks retail at as I have yet to see them in a store anywhere and online shopping isn't really my thing (cue gasps of horror), however I would like to try another lipstick from their range, maybe something a bit bolder like a red or berry shade, to see if the pigmentation is any better. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Have you tried anything from Gosh? Or do you know where they stock the brand? I would love to know!</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-71204683206572847582014-06-06T09:30:00.000+01:002014-06-06T09:30:00.371+01:00May Non Beauty Favourites<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u></u></strong></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u></u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Summer Dresses</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">As the weather has been getting a bit better (<em>huge emphasis on the word 'bit'</em>) I have dug out all of my summer clothes and made a transition into my wardrobe. Obviously my favourite piece of clothing(s) to be retrieved for the summer has got to be my summer dresses. I have to admit, I am a slight hoarder when it comes to dresses, obsessed may be the word?! Anyway I have been loving throwing one on to go and meet friends or just to run about town getting jobs done. The only thing is now I'm going to have give fake tanning another go *scared face*.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Prison Break</u></strong> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">How have I not seen this programme before?! I love it! A friend recommended it to me, and I haven't stopped watching it since! The idea behind the series is the main character (Wentworth Miller <strong>;)</strong>) is trying to help his brother escape from Death Row by being given a prison sentence and hatching an escape plan. The twist is, is that he effectively helped design the prison so therefore has a huge advantage (he has the blue prints of the prison TATTOOED on his body). Each episode has been amazing and the series is incredibly addictive. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Yes, there are some gory and gruesome parts but just have a pillow handy and you'll be fine. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>YouTube</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Man, I have been loving YouTube this month. It has become not just a habit but a routine to climb into bed about an hour before I want to sleep and catch up on all my fave YouTube channels. I watch mainly beauty videos but also love vlogs and health/fitness videos too. I am planning on doing a Top 5 YouTube Channels' post soon so keep an eye out for that to see exactly who I love watching!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Diet Coke</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So this is very naughty of me! I used to drink 2 litres of Coca Cola everyday however I gave up about 3 years ago when I realised the damage I could be doing to my body, plus I knew that was preventing me from losing weight. However this last month or so I've been partial to the odd Diet Coke when I've been out for a meal or sat in the garden enjoying the sun. Naughty I know, but I have also been drinking copious amounts of water to make up for my treat.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Music</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Another random selection of songs but these songs seem to be going perfectly with the nice weather, I have had Sigma on constant repeat in my car when driving around with my shades on and the windows down.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there we have it, my non-beauty faves! I like doing these posts, every now and then its nice to do a non-beauty-related post. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy creating them.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Does anyone else do these types of posts? I would love to read them so feel free to leave any links below!</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-73482280012174952632014-06-05T09:30:00.000+01:002014-06-05T09:30:00.335+01:00Barry M Silk in Pearl<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKs-IvOO6Z3pkeLfeuXoquKBb0zxf6Jpddvk3Tfq1ZZKz1k503fcxqyB82YU9M5it45werwOshz_FmaQf3ReZXEgdHowZvLsj-0LecDbOwd0bNIGs-22aJOAYIrZRUQkhyM4dVk2CCoJE/s1600/maybelline+concealer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This collection of 'Silk' polishes was released a couple of months ago. The polishes come in a range of pastel shades and are of a matte finish with a slight pearly sheen to it. I picked up the shade Pearl as I don't have any white polishes and I find white can tend to look a bit tacky with just a matte finish. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Like most Barry M polishes, this polish is easy to apply, with a not-to-watery consistency and quick drying time. I also found with this polish that it only required one coat to achieve the opaque look however I usually apply two coats to prevent chips etc. anyway. The finish is exactly what the bottle promises and is unlike anything I have worn on my nails before. Do I like it? Well I'm not sure about that really. I'm not sure if its the shade that doesn't work for me or the odd finish, but for some reason I can't take to this polish very well. I also find with this type of finish it can look very similar to polishes aimed at the older generation which, although looks lovely, isn't really the look I am going for. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I think this one is very much down to individual taste as the finish is quite different to any of the other offerings out there. I might pick up another shade just to give it a fair chance however I don't think Pearl will be gracing my fingernails much in the next few months. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Have you tried any of the Silk range from Barry M? I would love to know your thoughts!</span> </div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So....I went shopping. To be fair to me, I haven't been shopping in a really long time and although I got quite a lot of stuff I actually didn't spend that much money. I went to Boots, Superdrug and Topshop and got a few things that I've been eyeing up for a while and a few others just because why not?! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So first of all I hit Boots and although I could have picked up a whole hoard of things, I was actually quite well behaved. So the first few thing I got were some tanning products. Now that summer is upon us I want to give my skin that sun kissed glow that we all spend the winter months dreaming of. Lucky for me Boots had some money off deals across the tanning section including the Dove Summer Glow Gradual Tan Body Moisturiser. I like gradual tans although they do take a lot of upkeep. I usual go for the Garnier Summer Body gradual tan but I'm mixing things up a bit and giving this one a go as its had excellent reviews. Another product that had money off is the Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan Matte in Medium. This is a new release from Rimmel (they've had a bit of a relaunch for their Sun Shimmer range) and, again, I've heard pretty good things about this product in particular (not so much about some of their others) so thought I would give this a go too.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I don't actually own a tanning mitt so thought it wise to invest in one and picked up the Boots own Soltan one as its a bit cheaper than some of the others.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The next thing I got was the Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser and this is something I have wanted forever but have been waiting for it to be on offer and, hurrah, it finally was! This is a body moisturiser in an aerosol form so you can just spray it on and you're done. For me this will be perfect for summer as I find thick body moisturisers take an absolute age to absorb into the skin, plus I'm a bit lazy when it comes to moisturising (although I'm getting much better!).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The last couple of things I got in Boots were some makeup items. First up is the Barry M Matte nail paint in Copa Cobana. Barry M have released some new additions to their Matte range (which I absolutely love fyi) and there are some gorgeous colours. This a bright, coral shade which I am planning on using mainly on my toes to give them a bright splash of colour.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The last thing I picked up were three of the Revlon Shadowlinks. I have been after these ever since they started circling the Blogosphere-I think they are a genius inventon. In every eye shadow palette I get there is always a shade I will never wear or a shade I don't like however with these you build up you're own palette and can continue adding to it. I picked up three shades- Petal, Candy and Plum. Petal is a satin finish, peachy cream shade which I think will be lovely as a highlighter. Candy is a pale bubblegum pink shade with a pearl finish which is lovely for simple everyday makeup. Plum is a deep matte, purple shade which will be great for contouring the eye.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So next I went to Topshop. I have to say,I never venture into Topshop, ever. And on this occasion I only went in with one thing in mind, to check out their makeup stand. I wasn't too sure what I wanted to purchase but I knew I wanted to try something from their beauty range. After swatching some of their many lipsticks and blushes, I decided to go for their Magic Liner as this is one of their standout products that I have heard a lot about. It is in a felt-tip pen form and although I have a few of these, I'm eager to see what Topshop makeup is like so I'm quite excited to give this a go.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Finally, I ventured into Superdrug and, again, I had one thing in mind that I wanted to buy. This is something I have wanted ever since their namesake announced it in her Vlogmas series and I have heard nothing but amazing things about this product. That, of course, is the Tanya Burr lip glosses. She also has a range of nail polishes but I'm more interested in the glosses. Firstly, an amazing shade range and it took me ages to decide what shade to go for. In the end I picked up Picnic In The Park as I think that is a shade I will get a lot of wear out of. I'm so excited to try this lipgloss and I'm pretty sure the next time I'm in town (that's the store nearest to me to stock the Tanya Burr range) I will be picking up another couple of shades. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there we go! I'm going to be reviewing some of these products so keep an eye out if you're interested, and I'm also thinking of doing a mini series on tanning at some point this month.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijBC2hApTrGWJvgOO-8tlnSfqyDDORqHT2yZlmP3F3J3-nrwCxsGhmfBoNUrCyDRd9oDY8Qj2CFL0DLmwRPCIKpXP1EgoXvCAUEWYiCOoaP-0Roya8ZcdbzgbyJdFhif05eniG2qEeMLQ/s1600/vo5+plump+it+up+spray.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijBC2hApTrGWJvgOO-8tlnSfqyDDORqHT2yZlmP3F3J3-nrwCxsGhmfBoNUrCyDRd9oDY8Qj2CFL0DLmwRPCIKpXP1EgoXvCAUEWYiCOoaP-0Roya8ZcdbzgbyJdFhif05eniG2qEeMLQ/s1600/vo5+plump+it+up+spray.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Want big, volumous hair?! Then look no further! This is an amplifying blow dry lotion which is designed to add volume to the hair during he drying process. It also acts as a heat defence which is always a bonus with a hair product. The product claims to make hair feel and look thicker and healthy, calm frizz and static flyaways, and protect against any heat damage. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I spray this all over damp hair and then blow dry my hair upside down, as this is a good way of adding volume anyway. Once my hair is dry you can automatically see a difference. It feels lighter yet bouncier and has much more body to it than before. The spray is also very lightweight and doesn't leave a film or make the hair crispy at all.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I would say this spray is an absolute winner for me, it adds gorgeous amounts of bounce and volume and leaves the hair looking and feeling smooth. If you are a fan of big hair then this should definitely be on your shelf!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Has anyone else tried this product?</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-6830851123869272372014-05-28T10:00:00.000+01:002014-05-28T10:00:02.097+01:00May Favourites<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">May has absolutely flown by for me! Is it just me who thinks time goes so fast when you're living on a monthly pay check?! Anyway, I haven't got many new favourites this month as I've been testing out some new products so haven't had a chance to commit to too many products. However I have a couple that I just keep reaching for...</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was my go-to foundation last summer as it sits so well on the skin when the weather is warmer and doesn't feel too heavy. I have been using this on nights out when I need my makeup to stay in place all night as it doesn't melt off. It is light coverage but my skin is in quite good condition at the minute so I can get away with using a lighter foundation. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Butter</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was in my first ever monthly favourites last year and I have been rediscovering it this month. The scent, for me, screams summer and its one of the lighter body butters that I have so absorbs really well into the skin. The only thing is I have nearly finished this tub so I'm hoping The Body Shop are still stocking this range!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Soap and Glory Mist You Body Mist</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is a fairly new purchase. As you may or may not know, I love the classic Soap & Glory scent and so when I discovered I could carry a bottle of it around with me all day for a sneaky fix of the good stuff, well, I pretty much jumped for joy. Ok I didn't, but you get my gist. The scent is quite strong initially however quickly tones down and, as it is a mist, is very light on the skin. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Collection Sheer Loose Powder</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Another new product to my collection! I find Collection is a real hit and miss for me. I love their concealer (obvs) however I can't get to grips with their mascaras which have had rave reviews! I thought I would give their loose powder a go as I was after one and this was an absolute bargain so, if it didn't work for me then no worries, but I adore it and have been using it every single day. I lightly dust the powder over my t-zone, and also use it to set my concealer. It leaves a lovely airbrushed finished to the skin and is brilliant at keeping concealer in place.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ok so I have clearly been loving my base makeup this month! This is a fairly new release from Bourjois and as soon a it hit shelves I went out and got it. With colour-correcting properties and a very thin consistency, I have been loving using this for daytime wear as it hardly feels like you've got makeup on, yet makes the skin look flawless. I know CC creams have come under criticism recently and many have refused to jump on the bandwagon but I would seriously recommend giving this a go, it feels so much like a foundation but without the heaviness. <em>Such a technical review there.</em></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 16</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This lipsticks has always been one of my favourites as I think it is the perfect pink shade but this month I have been loving it lots and lots. Its perfect for both day and night wear, glides onto the lips like a dream due to its lovely creamy consistency and its staying power is fairly good aswell. I have been teaming this with a gloss at times too to add some extra shine.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Have you been loving any of these products? Please leave any monthly favourites links below, they're my favourite to read!</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you haven't heard of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's then where on earth have you been?! They've been available in the UK for quite some time now, and I have pretty much most of, if not all, their collection. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">They are essentially cream eye shadows but their pigmentation and staying power is amazing and I have yet to find any better! They apply like a dream and can be used alongside other eye shadows, powdered or otherwise, on their own or as a base. The darker shades work brilliantly at creating a long-lasting smoky eye.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Light In Purple</u></strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This shade is completely different to the rest of the collection as it is very cool-toned and also has a slight effervescent effect to it. The shade is slightly purple-esque and works perfectly as a base for a smoky eye, or paired with a subtle eye shadow. I don't think this shade works very well on its own as it is very bright and eye catching but it is still lovely.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Pink Gold</u></strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This shade is perfect for daytime wear, epically during the spring. It is a metallic, pastel pink and works great on its own. I sometimes use it with Metallic Pomegranate too as these work really well together.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Permanent Taupe</u></strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is my favourite out of the collection and is the only matte shade I have. As the name suggests, this a dark, brown taupe shade. I usually wear this shade on its own or with a highlighter just in the inner corners. Although this is quite subtle initially on the lids, with enough build up and coverage, it can create a lovely yet striking look which I love.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>On and On Bronze</u></strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This shade is the perfect bronze shade and is perfect when creating a warm-neutral based smoky eye effect as it is a perfect all-over shade and blends well with so many other neutrals.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Metallic Pomegranate </u></strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is a dark purple shade and has gold glitter particles in it which, although doesn't sound like it works, actually gives off quite a good effect. I don't tend to wear this on its own as it is quite dark however looks beautiful teamed with either Pink Gold or another lighter eye shadow.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Eternal Gold</u></strong></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is my least favourite from the collection and is the one I wear the least. I think this is probably because it is very shimmery, however now the summer is coming it could look lovely just gently swiped over the lids to create a shimmery sun kissed look.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Have you tried any of these, or any other shades? I would love to know as I highly rate these and they are one of my favourite products in my makeup collection.</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-22638141295123730852014-05-26T10:00:00.000+01:002014-05-26T10:00:01.076+01:00The Blogger Made Me Buy It-LLYMLRS<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Lily Melrose from <a href="http://www.etcllymlrs.com/" target="_blank">LLYMLRS</a> was, in fact, the first blog I discovered. She has an edgy, cool vibe to her blog and is a wise owl when it comes to beauty products and how to use them. I regularly check Lily's blog and YouTube channel for updates and new videos as I really trust her opinion on beauty and her reviews always seem fair and honest. A lot of the products reviewed on LLYMLRS are high end however she has mentioned her love for drugstore lipsticks and nail polishes.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After watching a haul where she spoke about her love for this lipstick I wanted to try it out. Beehive is a nude, glossy finish lipstick and as Seventeen isn't the most pricey of brands, its a real bargain! This lipstick is perfect for everyday wear and can add a bit of *something* to a simple makeup look. Whilst it isn't the most long lasting lipstick, it is very pretty and wearable. So thank you Lily for introducing this lovely lipstick to my collection, it is now one of my staples and something I religiously reach for!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Are you a fan of LLYMLRS? Have you tried this lipstick? I would love to know your thoughts!</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-18987130971839638762014-05-25T10:00:00.000+01:002014-05-25T10:00:00.595+01:00A Month In Instagram #5<br />

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So recently I attended The Beauty and Hair UK show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. The show was full of well known and not so well known brands displaying the products they had to offer. Some of the well known brands there included Elemis, Lauren's Way, NYX, Sienna X and Monu, aswell as lots of new and upcoming brands. Some of the stands offered trials of the products they were showcasing including eyelash extensions, gel nails and teeth whitening at reduced rates, and free spray tans and workout equipment to try. I had a great day and picked up some great products to try which I thought I would show you.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>W7 10 out of 10 Browns Eye Shadow Palette</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is a palette of 10 neutral shades ranging from light to dark. They are a mix of both matte and shimmer eye shadows, and can be used for everyday use, to create defined contour, or to create a smoky eye effect. I haven't' tried this out yet but it was only £5 so was an absolute bargain!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Kco Makeup Brush</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">On the stand this brush was being used to apply all sorts of different make up including liquid foundation and powder. It is very similar to the Real Techniques Stippling brush however feels much more dense so could be ideal for applying liquid foundation or blending in concealer. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Pink Essentials Medium Eye Shader and Brush Essentials Contour Powder Brush</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This were both on a stand full of all sorts of different makeup brushes at absolute budget prices! I picked up both of these for £5 and I'm really excited to try them out, especially the contour brush as it is very different to my current one.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Glam Lac Professional Lacquer in Sea Lover and Naturally Cute</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I fell in love with these shades, particularly Naturally Cute as it seems like the perfect nude shade for me which is great for when I'm at work. Sea Lover reminds me of Greenberry by Barry M but isn't quite as bright however I think this will look lovely in the summer with (hopefully) a bit of a tan.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Cuccio Naturale Butter in Vanilla Bean and Sugar</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was another stand that had loads of products on offer with lots of different scents. I tried a bit of the butter they had on the stand and it feels so thick and moisturising so I opted for the smaller tub and might use it on my feet as they are in desperate need of some TLC.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>SuperCover Professional Makeup Eye Pencils in Raspberry, Ocean and Brandy</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">These were probably my bargain of the day-all three for just £5! I know, I couldn't believe it either. I swatched the pencils at the stand and they seem really pigmented and, even though I washed my hands several times, the swatches hardly budged so I'm hoping they will last just as long on the eyes. They also had so many different shades to choose from but I thought I would go for these as they are probably more wearable.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>ArtDeco Eyeshadow in 250</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ok so this eye shadow is absolutely tiny but the pigmentation of it is absolutely amazing! I fell in love with the colour as it reminds me of the Mac Pigment in Golden Olive which I have been trying to get hold of for sometime so you can imagine my excitement when this appeared in front of me. I cant wait to use it!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>NYX Blush in Bourgeois Pig</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So NYX is obviously a brand many will know however they aren't as readily available in the UK but they have started selling it in some Next stores. Anyway, this was the stand I wanted to see the most as I love the NYX products I already have and I was desperate to try their blushes. They have a lovely selection of shades and this one seems unlike any of my other blushes. Plus it was cheaper than buying it in Next!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>NYX Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is another NYX product I really wanted to try and, again, it was cheaper than in stores. I did a little swatch in stores and the gloss seems so creamy and well pigmented. I was a bit stuck for choice as although there was a wide selection, they had run out of quite a few. I picked up this pale pink shade as I think it will be perfect for during the day in the summer.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Did you attend The Beauty Show? </span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-39117379812254884502014-05-22T20:07:00.001+01:002014-05-22T20:07:22.012+01:00Healthy Living Diaries #2 - Planning Ahead<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So in a bid to stay motivated with my weight loss journey/getting healthy, I am running a series in which I share my tips, experience, routines, ideas, pretty much everything to do with the above. This week I thought I would talk about planning ahead as this is quite often the key component for maintaining a successful weight loss/diet journey.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I work different shifts in my job and no two weeks are the same for me so planning ahead is extremely important in order for me to stay focused. As part of my new diet I have actually written down my meal plans in order for me to put thought into what I'm eating and to make my plan easily accessible. Plus I find actually putting pen to paper and writing a plan very satisfying. Strange, I know. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif7E275kO8rSlgxuVGCWddyruWKnh2Sf83h8HfoZ0ng3lY-iqCM0eWL5B2mwHu5-jqzhyrmqM0tQj-VBhrB6JTVjUgQeC-Eai5xBPVUJBEVj7G9oh6m1Ad3hmg1fyTgYoeG6rgUIoDUus/s1600/healthy+living+diaries.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif7E275kO8rSlgxuVGCWddyruWKnh2Sf83h8HfoZ0ng3lY-iqCM0eWL5B2mwHu5-jqzhyrmqM0tQj-VBhrB6JTVjUgQeC-Eai5xBPVUJBEVj7G9oh6m1Ad3hmg1fyTgYoeG6rgUIoDUus/s1600/healthy+living+diaries.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have divided the plan so that the columns are each day, and then the rows are the different foods I will eat. I have made some of the snacks optional, especially on a day when I'm eating a heavier meal. I have also drawn up a list of all the meal and snack ideas that I can pick from. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In each plan, I have tried to make the foods I eat that week fairly consistent, purely to keep within my weekly finance budget. Also, there is no point buying fresh salad goods for just one meal, if I make a job lot I can then have salad over several days. By creating these plans I have also been able to think about the types of foods I will be eating i.e. if I am having toast for breakfast then I will try not to have bread for the rest of the day. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I would be being a bit silly by saying that I intend to stick to these plans completely as other things pop up such as meals out etc. but I have been trying my best and so far it seems to be working! Also, when I do go out for a meal I try to pick foods I know are better for my diet such as swapping chips for a jacket potato or ordering lean cuts of meat rather than a burger or sausages etc. I have really enjoyed creating these plans and sticking to them has been easier than I thought, and it has helped me stick to my weekly budget as I'm not buying foods that I don't need.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Has anyone else created meal plans? I would love to see any other similar posts/blogs! Send your links.</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18159302388580160789noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5159482100981583972.post-36418672733432030762014-05-15T14:00:00.000+01:002014-05-15T14:00:03.799+01:00Empties #4<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So here are just a few products that I have used up over the last couple of months.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Nivea In Shower Moisturiser</u></strong></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I love these! You apply them after using shower gel and then wash off. It doesn't have quite the same effect as using a thick moisturiser after the shower as obviously that has more time to absorb into the skin, but if you're in a rush or, like me, like the quick and easy approach then these are definitely for you! I will absolutely be repurchasing this.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Clean and Clear Morning Energy Facial Scrub</u></strong></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This product has lasted me ages. I use it a couple of times a week just to refresh my face and give the skin a light exfoliate. This wash has a very strong citrus scent which I love but just be warned it is very strong and sometimes slightly over bearing. Whilst I haven't noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my skin after using this, it definitely makes the skin feel more fresh and wakes me up on those dull early mornings. I've got a few other facial exfoliaters to try but I would definitely consider this in the future.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Tresemme Deep Cleanse Shampoo</u></strong></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I mentioned this in my last favourites post (see here) and I'm gutted that I've finished it, although due to the size of the bottle it has lasted me an age! It gives the hair such a deep clean however doesn't feel to heavy on the hair and is easy to wash out too. I have been using this every time I wash my hair for the last month and my hair has felt in excellent condition. I haven't seen this in stores since I purchased it but I will definitely keep am eye out for it! </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Batiste Dry Shampoo Light & Blonde</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I seem to be getting through a lot of dry shampoo at the moment, I recently started increasing the time between washing my hair so instead of washing it every 2 days, I now wait every 3 days, so ive been using dry shampoo on that last day just to soak up some of that unwanted grease that tends to hag around. Batiste is my preferred brand for dry shampoo s I usually go for that when in Boots or Superdrug.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span> </div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>No 7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream</u></strong></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This little pot of beauty has lasted me ages. What I have loved about using this is how luxurious it feels on the skin. Its very light and silky but I wake upthe next morning with super soft skin. Also, this night cream is designed for oily skin so it has hydrated my skin without giving it too much unwanted shine. I will definitely repurchase this.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong><u>Soap & Glory Righteous Butter Mini</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My favourite S&G product, I love everything about this! The scent is gorgeous, the texture is creamy and rich, and it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and soft. I already have a full size version of this waiting to be opened!</span></div>

I haven't got that many products that I want to try but I thought I would show you just a little collection...</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Itkx5ZnSwx49dYcByVydIpPcVV_GiwtnylKZezhboIoY9-6jfsZXPAD8RZl3etTG0dN2RXsvRN7pfbpqc71JkLRpjJswuijvMxYrjgBHePqS-SXXhNNKlAoK5pkm71_1mn8KP9r7GgY/s1600/wishlist.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Itkx5ZnSwx49dYcByVydIpPcVV_GiwtnylKZezhboIoY9-6jfsZXPAD8RZl3etTG0dN2RXsvRN7pfbpqc71JkLRpjJswuijvMxYrjgBHePqS-SXXhNNKlAoK5pkm71_1mn8KP9r7GgY/s1600/wishlist.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Most of these products I have seen mentioned on lots of other blogs and on YouTube videos, in particularly the Zoeva brushes and the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot powder. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Although I love my Real Techniques brushes, I feel I need to branch out a bit so I am either going to try the Barry M line (the cheaper alternative) or just try a couple of the Zoeva brushes as they do look beautiful aswell (rose gold mmm).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Revlon Shadowlinks are something I have had my eye on ever since they hit the press, I just really love the idea of them and the shade range looks great! Something else I love the idea of are the Makeup Revolution Eye Dusts which look very similar to the MAC pigments. Although the pink shade featured above is the not the colour I would go for, they do have a fab range of shades and I have heard great reviews about them and the brand itself. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Something yet to hit the shelves but is already on my wishlist are The Body Shop sorbets. I think they will be lovely products, and the fact that you can put them in the fridge before application is really cool (excuse the pun) and will be perfect for smmer. Another new release is the Benefit Big Easy which is claimed to be a 'Bigger than BB Cream'. There has been a lot of positive reviews on this little gem so I am intrigued to try it out and, again, think this will be a perfect base product for the summer.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Two products on here that aren't necessarily new releases are the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot powder, and the L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara. I want to try the S&G powder because of its excellent reviews in the blogging world, and I have only just discovered their cosmetics range and this seems to be one of their key products! I have been after a new mascara for a little while, whilst I am loyal to the Maybelline mascaras, I feel I want to branch out a bit and this one seems a bit different to any others.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Finally, I have to add the Tanya Burr Lips & Nails line as these have been coveted highly by the fab YouTuber herself and many other beauty bloggers! They seem to be very highly pigmented and the shade range is lovely.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
