Empties #5

Not too many empties in this post but, considering my last Empties post was only last month its a bit worrying I'm getting through so many products. Oops. So lets get started...

Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub

I love Sanctuary Spa as the scent is so luxurious and different to anything else I use. This scrub has lasted me ages so I can't complain that I'm out of it already, however I do have a second bottle waiting in my stores to be used. This is a lovely exfoliator which also lathers up well in the shower. The scent is the signature Sanctuary Spa scent and, for some, this could be a bit overpowering but I love it. A product I will always repurchase.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution

I really like using Micellar Waters to remove my makeup and although I like this one, the packaging has put me right off. The bottle is quite big which is good as you get a lot for your money however the way the lid has been designed means that it is hard to control the amount of solution you pour onto the cotton wool pad, often meaning that you end up with too much of the product. I do have another of these waiting to be used as they were on Buy One Get One Free (would be rude not too hey?!) however I think in future I will stick to a different brand.

Nivea Happy Time Deodorant

Ok so a bit random to include a deodorant as, obviously, these can be used up quite quickly, especially in the warmer months, but the scent of this one is amazing. I don't know why but I don't like most of the female deodorants smells however this one is very summery and fruity and the scent really hangs about. As a deodorant it does as good a job as any but I thought I would include it in this because I have really enjoyed using it.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

I'm so sad this product has been used up, it has to be one of my favourite foundations. I actually included it in my last monthly favourites. The foundation is light to medium coverage but the consistency is thin and light on the skin and super easy to blend and work with. I will definitely be repurchasing this one.

Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Toner

This is a staple product in my skin care routine. I love Simple products and they seem to work really well with my skin (*touches wood*) so I always end up repurchasing the products as I know how well they work for my skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Eye Makeup Remover

This is another lovely Simple product to use. It is very gentle on the eyes and, unlike many eye make up removers, isn't oily. I use this more on a daily basis and save the oily removers for heavier make up as this is much more gentle on the eyes. I also don't need to rub the cotton wool on my eyes with this which is obviously a bonus.

The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Butter

I think my heart broke a little when I used the last of this. Ok, so slightly over dramatic but you get the effect I'm going for. This body butter smells amazing, has the creamiest consistency ever and absorbs pretty quickly. For a fairly cheap product this very much has a high end feel to it which I love. I wish I had bought a few of these as I don't think they stock them anymore but on my next trip into town I will definitely be looking for a replacement!

Have you liked/disliked any of these products? I would love to know!

Empties #4

So here are just a few products that I have used up over the last couple of months.

Nivea In Shower Moisturiser
I love these! You apply them after using shower gel and then wash off. It doesn't have quite the same effect as using a thick moisturiser after the shower as obviously that has more time to absorb into the skin, but if you're in a rush or, like me, like the quick and easy approach then these are definitely for you! I will absolutely be repurchasing this.

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Facial Scrub
This product has lasted me ages. I use it a couple of times a week just to refresh my face and give the skin a light exfoliate. This wash has a very strong citrus scent which I love but just be warned it is very strong and sometimes slightly over bearing. Whilst I haven't noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my skin after using this, it definitely makes the skin feel more fresh and wakes me up on those dull early mornings. I've got a few other facial exfoliaters to try but I would definitely consider this in the future.

Tresemme Deep Cleanse Shampoo
I mentioned this in my last favourites post (see here) and I'm gutted that I've finished it, although due to the size of the bottle it has lasted me an age! It gives the hair such a deep clean however doesn't feel to heavy on the hair and is easy to wash out too. I have been using this every time I wash my hair for the last month and my hair has felt in excellent condition. I haven't seen this in stores since I purchased it but I will definitely keep am eye out for it!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Light & Blonde
I seem to be getting through a lot of dry shampoo at the moment, I recently started increasing the time between washing my hair so instead of washing it every 2 days, I now wait every 3 days, so ive been using dry shampoo on that last day just to soak up some of that unwanted grease that tends to hag around. Batiste is my preferred brand for dry shampoo s I usually go for that when in Boots or Superdrug.

No 7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream
This little pot of beauty has lasted me ages. What I have loved about using this is how luxurious it feels on the skin. Its very light and silky but I wake upthe next morning with super soft skin. Also, this night cream is designed for oily skin so it has hydrated my skin without giving it too much unwanted shine. I will definitely repurchase this.

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter Mini
My favourite S&G product, I love everything about this! The scent is gorgeous, the texture is creamy and rich, and it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and soft. I already have a full size version of this waiting to be opened!

Empties #3

I haven't done an empties post for ages it seems! However I still don't seem to have that many empty products, which is great of course! However I have a small collection I thought I woud show you.

The Body Shop Camomile Eye and Lip Make Up Remover
I loved this product, it did such a good job at removing heavy eye make up! I have done a full review that you can see here. The only issue I had with it is that it can leave an oily film on the skin after use which isn't ideal as I have oily skin as it is. I haven't repurchased this yet but I think I probably will in the nearby future unless I can find something better.

Collection 2000 Fix Me Up Fixing Spray
I got this spray quite a while ago and whilst I loved it to begin with, I quickly forgot about it and felt I didn't need it once the summer was over. However I have recently rediscovered it and have been using it to set makeup that I know will need to stay in place for a while (on a night out for example) and it has been doing a good job. I won't be repurchasing this though as I have a couple of other similar products that I can use.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical
Not much to explain about the concept of this product, does pretty much what it says on the tin. I have been using dry shampoo quite a lot recently as I have been trying to leave an extra day in between hair washes, and while it doesn't work miracles I love the tropical, coconut scent of this shampoo.

Rimmel Eye Shadow Primer
I featured this in my first monthly favourites post and I still love it. Its great for keeping eye shadow in place and makes application much easier and smoother. I haven't been using it as much during the colder months but when the weather gets warmer this little gem is a saviour so I will definitely be repurchasing.

L'Oreal Cleansing Oil
I still can't quite make my mind up about this product. While I think its great at removing makeup, it leaves my skin with an oily film that I just cant get used to, and I find that when I use my cleanser all that is doing is just removing the remainder of the oil from the skin. I don't think I will repurchase this because the weather will start getting warmer soon (I hope!) and my skin is already very oily so I don't think this would be a good idea.

Argon Oil Shampoo
I got this in a pound store and I thought it was a great buy at the time as I had just started using oil in my hair, however I found this shampoo dried my hair out and it never felt like my hair was getting a thorough clean. If I didn't use a good conditioner then I would definitely know about it, so therefore I am not going to be repurchasing this.

Superdrug Orange and Satsuma Shower Gel
I loved the scent of this shower gel, it was perfect to use at the gym as it was so fresh to use and I felt so clean after using this. This is definitely a product I would purchase again as I love citrus scents for shower gels.

Has anyone else tried and tested any of these products? Or no of any better versions? I would love to know!

Empties #2

Another empties post already?! I don't have too many empties this month but that's a good thing-I won't be out repurchasing too many things!

B. Miceller Water
I discovered this beauty a couple of months ago, and I can't imagine life without it now! I know with Miceller waters you either like them or not (or they like you or not) but I have got on really well with this one. It takes my makeup off with one swipe, and is even gentle enough to use on the delicate eye area (although I do prefer a proper eye makeup remover). I have already repurchased this little beauty.

Nivea Eye Make Up Remover
I like this remover but I do find it stings a little bit. I don't think I will repurchase this one, I think I need one a little bit more soothing. It does the job of removing eye make up though, but you need a few swipes which isn't too good.

Herbal Essences Hair Mask-Beautiful Ends
These are my favourite hair masks! I love Herbal Essences anyway but I find their masks leave me hair so soft and always smells gorgeous. I only use these on the ends of my hair and midlengths about once a week. I don't apply to the roots as I find my hair is so oily and doesn't need any conditioning. I already have a hoard of these masks waiting to be used.

Rimmel Perfect and Go Primer
When I first started using it this I really loved it, but since trying other primers and moisturisers, I've really gone off this one! I find it to be quite creamy and thick so when I apply it, it feels like I have already applied a layer of makeup, which my oily skin does not enjoy. I won't be repurchasing this, I'm currently loving a Bourjois primer so I'm sticking to that for now.

Rimmel BB Cream
This was another product I used to really love but I have also gone off this. I'm not sure why because it is a very good BB cream but I don't think it is the best one for my skin. I have a seen a few that are aimed at oily skin so I might try one of them. Also, I want one with a little more coverage than this one, for the colder months.

Nip and Fab Leg Fix
I got this as a sample a few months ago and I adore it. My legs can be sensitive and get quite dry, but I apply this after a shower or before bed and it makes such a difference. I don't know if I will purchase a full size of this because its quite pricey (remember I'm a girl on a budget!) but I would definitely recommend it.

So that's it, short and sweet! Has anyone else tried these products? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Empties

This is one of my favourite type of posts because it shows what products the blogger has actually been using. I have got quite a few empties to talk about so I'll get started...

Nivea Regenerating Night Cream
This cream I picked up on an absolute whim because I needed a new one and this one was on offer. Simple. I've really been struggling with my skin this summer, it has been so oily, so I've been reluctant to use too much moisturiser as obviously this doesn't help. I have been applying a thin layer at night just before I go to bed. Its helped my skin but I can't say its made a remarkable difference. Definitely putting more thought into my next moisturiser!
Radox Moisturise Shower Cream in Chamomile & Jojoba Oil
My favourite shower gel, ever! I only really buy shower gel when they're on offer and then I just stock up. But this beauty is my favourite. I've loved it for years and I also have the hand wash version. I'm not too good at describing scents, it just smells very clean and fresh. Its a lovely calming shower cream and really feels like its moisturising your skin. The smell stays on your skin for ages after aswell which is lovely.
E45 Intense Recovery Moisture Control Lotion
Although I suffer with oily skin on my face, my arms are the complete opposite. They are very dry and in the winter there are always broken areas of skin or scratch marks. I use a thicker moisturiser in the winter but in the summer I want something lighter and easily absorbed. So I read about this in Cosmo one month and I love it! Its thin but ideal to apply in a rush. It absorbs really quickly and has absolutely helped with my dry arms. I've used occasionally on my legs aswell and it always leaves them feeling super soft.
Simple Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion
I really like Simple as I know that a lot of drug store brands do use harsh chemicals in their products. I like to use the least amount of products as I can on my skin and I like using simple products because I know its good for the skin. I use this lotion at night after I have removed my make up. it almost feels like a moisturiser but it absorbs really quickly. I will definitely be repurchasing this!
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner
Another favourite brand of mine. I am a major shampoo and conditioner hoarder. If one of my favourite brands is on offer in a supermarket or drugstore I will always stock up, and if its herbal essences I usally get 3 or 4 bottle from their different ranges. I love their Bee Strong range but my other favourite is Hello Hydration. It has a coconut scent which has been lovely using in the summer. I use this after I have shampooed, on the mid lengths and ends. What I love most about herbal essences is that you can always smell their signature scents on your hair the day after. I think I have already repurchased this bottle ready for use!
John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo
I have to say, this has probably been the least favourite product out of all of these empties. I don't think its done an amzing job in the colour of my hair, I don't like the smell of this shampoo at all and I never feel like I've rinsed all the product out as it lathers up so much. I have used this product before but I don't think I'm going to be repurchasing, it can be quite pricey when its not offer and I don't actually think its worth it. I would like to try their Total Repair range as I think that would probably be better for my hair in its current condition.
Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
These lip butters are so lovely. If you haven't tried them yet then I highly recommend. They are well pigmented so last ages, feel really moisturising on the lips and come in a lovely selection of shades. This is a subtle nude shade and I wear it a lot at work. It has a bit of shimmer in so can be built up for more of an evening look. I am definitely going to purchase more of these come payday!

So there we go :) Has anyone else used any of these products? What do you think about them?
